Concerts at the Arboretum, Spunk, Jazz at the DMA, Stand up Comedy and More Tonight!

Concerts at the Arboretum Tonight! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and your love, and kids too if you choose! There will be food trucks! They wont be selling alcohol, however you are permitted to bring your own. Tonights concert features Emerald City and is from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Zora Neal Hurston’s Jazz play Spunk continues tonight at the WaterTower Theatre at the Addison Conference Center. 15650 Addison Road in Addison. Tickets are $20 to $27.50 and the show starts at 7:30pm.

Jazz in the Atrium at the Dallas Museum of Art! Tonight the Dan Haerle Quartet will be playing. Dan Haerle is a composer, performer, educator and ambassador of jazz piano. Its free, and your may purchase drinks and food if you would like!

Comedian Kenny Zimlinghaus will be performing at the Dallas Comedy House tonight! 2645 Commerce St. The show is at 7:30pm and tickets are $15 to $20.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap. My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression. Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants. Its not always about money when wowing a woman. Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share. It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.
