The Deep Ellum Arts Fest is today!  Enjoy live bands, art and food!  Its on Main Street between Good Latimer and Hall Street.  Six blocks turned into one enormous street festival.  And its free!



Dallas Poetry Slam Presents the 2014 Grand Slam at Heroes Lounge!  7402 Greenville Ave., Dallas.  It starts at 7pm and cost $8.

The March Madness Music Festival’s AT&T Block Party is happening today from 3-10:30pm.  Jack Ingram from 3:30-4:30, The Wild Feathers from 5-6pm, Eli Young Band from 6:30-8pm and Jason Aldean from 8:30-10pm.  It’s free.  It’s at Reunion Park in Downtown Dallas, on Reunion Blvd. 75207.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key.
