Concerts at the Arboretum! Jazz in the Atrium at the DMA! Mobb Deep and More Live Music Tonight!!

Its time for Concerts at the Arboretum!  You can bring your own picnic meal or purchase food from the food trucks there.  Food trucks include Ruthie’s Rolling Café, Cajun Tailgators, Easy Slider and So-Cal Taco’s.  They wont be serving liquor so you may want to bring your own.  Tonight’s concert is Bruce in the USA sponsored by Jackson Walker LLP.  8525 Garland Rd.  The concert is from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.



The Mav’s play the San Antonio Spurs tonight at American Airlines Center at 7pm.  2500 Victory Ave.  www.ticketmaster.com for tickets.

It’s Jazz in the Atrium at the Dallas Museum of Art 1717 N. Harwood St., Dallas.  Its free, you can purchase food and wine if you choose and the music goes from 6pm to 8pm.  Tonight, soul and jazz band The Funky Knuckles will be performing. 



The Main Street Arts Festival is going on today until 8pm at Sundance Square.  201 Main St.,Fort Worth.  Its Free!

Mobb Deep is in concert tonight at Club Dada!  2720 Elm St., Dallas.  The concert starts at 8pm and cost $20.



Australian electronic duo Sneaky Sound System will be performing tonight at The Globe.  525 South Riverfront Blvd from 8pm to midnight.  Go to www.theglobedallas.com for tickets.

There is live jazz tonight at Chocolate Secrets and Wine Garden 3926 Oak Lawn Ave.  The music starts at 7:30pm.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Justin Timberlake is in concert tonight at the American Airlines Center 2500 Victory St, Dallas.  The concert starts at 7 and the tickets are $49.50 to $175.00..  www.ticketmaster.com  for tickets. Rachel Avonne is going to be performing tonight at Buttons Fort Worth, 4701 W. Fwy.  She will be performing from 7:30pm to 10pm.  You can eat, relax and listen to some good music! Luke Wade is performing tonight at 7pm at The Live Oak in Fort Worth, 1311 Lipscomb St.  The cost is $10 to get in. Its Wine Down Wednesdays at Chiladas Fresh Mex Grill in Plano, 6145 Windhaven Pkwy, Suite 120 from 4pm to 7pm.  Glasses of wine are $3. You can have a great time tonight at The Prophet Bar for their open mic!  Enjoy the best in local talent, and DJ Jay Clipp is in the mix, and RC and the Gritz will be performing.
