Its Open Mic Comedy tonight in Fort Worth at Embargo!  210 E. Eighth St.  Get there about 9pm.  Its free!  Have drinks, laugh, or get in on the action and tell some jokes.



The Classical Open Mic is tonight at Buzzbrews Kitchen in Dallas.  4334 Lemmon Ave.  Get there about 8pm.  Enjoy local classical musicians flexing their muscle  in a casual environment.  Maybe eat and have some drinks as well.



It’s a Paint Night tonight at Brewed in Fort Worth.  801 W. Magnolia Ave.  Paint, and sip, and get a canvas, paints, smock, paintbrushes and instruction on creating your own masterpiece from a real artist all for $45.

There is also an open mic tonight at the Dallas Comedy House.  2645 Commerce St., Dallas.  Get there about 8:30.  Its free!  Go to laugh, or get in on the action.

Tonight Scat Jazz Lounge presents "Straight Ahead, A Tribute to the Music of the Blue Note Label".  Go about 8pm, chill and hear some great jazz!

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. There’s gonna be live holiday jazz music tonight at the House of Blues in Dallas.  Go to www.houseofblues.com/dallas for more details.
