Russo's Coal Fired Italian Kitchen.. SUPER LATE POST!

I've been slacking on my posts.  I promise to post about the best spots though..  Like this place!  Russo's Coal Fired Italian Kitchen. I went for a business lunch but I think this place would be an awesome spot for a date.  Its small, and intimate, has an old school italian bistro feel yet is still moderately swanky.  I had the baked ziti and house salad with vinaigrette.  The salad was huge and fresh.  The vinaigrette was a house vinaigrette to die for!  The baked ziti was equally huge and was bubbling hot when they brought it to the table.  The service was ridiculously fast too.   Also they have wine and beer.  Here is their website https://www.russoscoalfired.com  they are located at 700 E. Campbell Road in Richardson, TX.  check em out!

Hash House A Go Go

THIS PLACE!!  My mouth is watering just thinking about this place.  😋😋  I went here this weekend for brunch.  I suggested going some place else, but I'm glad I gave in. For starters, before going I looked at their menu online and noticed they had Indiana themed menu items.  I'm from Indiana, so I figured it was somewhere I needed to visit.  Although one of their Indiana themed dishes was meatloaf and Eggs..  Let me inform my readers, WE DO NOT EAT MEATLOAF WITH EGGS IN INDIANA!  Do not order that dish and then blame it on us when you get the runs later! 😂😂  But I promise the food is delicious, I just wouldn't suggest eating that. I had the scramble with house smoked salmon, basil pesto and melted brie cheese.  I got it with breakfast potatoes and a home made biscuit.  Delicious is not a strong enough word..  Also it was enough food for 3 people.  I also had a spiked kiwi watermelon lemonade to drink instead of a basic mimosa and I was very pleased with that

Nates Seafood and Steak in Addison..... Spoiler Alert! BAD REVIEW

Yeah......  This is going to be my first completely bad review of any place I've been to.  For starters... My party and I sat on the patio.  The fact that there was patio seating was probably the only good thing about this place.  It was open seating out there.  We sat for a good 5 minutes before even seeing a waiter.  After that 5 minutes the waiters came out to tend to other patrons, including a couple that came after us might I add, but never got to us.  After watching 3 waiters come and go I said something and my friend went inside to get some attention.  From then on, our waiter was prompt though...  But the fact that we had to say something....No Bueno!   The drinks were watered down.  And my food was terrible.  I had the Shrimp and Crab Etouffee (not sure if thats how you spell it)..  Anyway...  It tasted like Karen was on kitchen duty.  It was disguisting.  Watery, and the shrimp tasted bad.  I had to douse it with salt and pepper and I don't put salt on anything

Blends Daiquiri Lounge is a cool spot!!

This place is actually more than cool its kind of awesome!  I stumbled across this place for a daiquiri and was treated to a hookah!  And I like freebies so off the top this place gets a great review!   Like all daiquiri shops they had a plethora of daiquiri flavors to pick from.  I got my usual mixture of white russian and strawberry and it was superb.  You can get your daiquiri to go or stay.  I suggest you stay because from what I heard, the food is great too.   The hookah lounge area is ducked in the back with dim lighting and multiple tv's where they played sports.  There was a large selection of flavors to pick from, but they didn't have an actual menu, however the gentlemen there let me smell each flavor to make my decision.  I think this would be a great place for a date.  Or even just hanging out.  They also had a DJ which I thought was dope.   They're located at 2810 E Trinity Mills Road in Carrollton. The store front looks humble but once you

Chop Shop Irving! Delicious clean food!

This entry is going to take a turn back to the old days and what this blog was originally created for..  To highlight great places for a date.  I think I've had enough of dishing all of my business to you all..  Sorry :-) I was over in Irving, hungry, and looking for some REAL FOOD so I drove around and stumbled upon the Original Chop Shop.  Evidently it has been there since 2013..  But I'm rarely in Irving so.. Its all good clean food!  Delicious and well made, and there are vegan options!  I got the Green Curry Tofu bowl and it was good and filling.  I had a lot leftover to bring home with me too.  For carnivores, yes they do have menu offerings with chicken, steak, and shrimp.  I had their ginger strawberry lemonade to drink and it was the absolute best lemonade I've ever had in my life!  I should've known it was going to be good too because when I ordered it one of the employees got excited for me!  Lol.   Take a look at their menu if you'd like

Mav's Versus the Houston Rockets!

I'm always excited to go to a Mav's game! You have the dancers, the drum line, the kiss cam, the challenges, the giveaways, GO YOGI!   I ate there at the persistence of my date.  I told him I had only eaten breakfast.  I had these loaded nachos.  They weren't the best but they hit the spot and he ate the majority of them.  He had a hot dog also which he said sucked.  As with always..  Food at NBA games is overpriced and not the best but you know what it is going in. The lady at the security check in emptied my entire purse and I had "lady products" in there.  So I thought this was a bit rude.  The game was good at some point but the Mav's ended up losing which sucked. This was a 2nd date with this guy.  I had lunch with him on Saturday.  He was still funny but something just seemed off.  He kept bumping into me while we were walking.  He seemed a little confused about parking.  I rode with him and I was a little put off by his driving.  It

Taste of Chicago in Addison Texas!

Date #2 for the day..  For multiple reasons I would not have picked this restaurant but my date wanted to go because he heard it was good...  And since he was driving all the way from Oak Cliff I compromised. Their deep dish pizza takes 45+ minutes to make..   So we opted for the thin crust pizza, which personally I thought tasted like gas station pizza..  I was not impressed.  My date was hungry as 5 slaves and was not shy about it either.  He ordered some sort of chicken parmesan sandwich, a large pizza for us, and cheese sticks..  AND he initially intended to eat ALL OF IT!  He finished his sandwich, I helped with the cheese sticks and we both had slices of pizza to go home with us.. About him.. He's no one new... In fact I've known him for years..  He pursued me for 2 years before I gave him a shot, then when I did he was a fuckboy..  So I blocked him and I thought I had him blocked on facebook too but clearly I didn't because he was in my inbox today and

Blue Goose Cantina is Aiight!

It was a decent restaurant.  Its basically a less shiny On The Border.  But the food hit the spot.   Per my usual...  I had brisket tacos and a margarita.  They were good, but you can never go wrong with brisket tacos and margaritas...  Well except yesterday I had a margarita at On The Border which was terrible...  But thats another story.  My date had beef tacos in a hard shell..  Which I thought was odd because who still eats hard shell tacos??  But he seemed to like them.  He had a long island iced tea..  Which I also thought was odd because we were at a tex mex spot..  But I like people who are outside of the box, so it was ok... I think..  As long as he's not a serial killer.. About him..  He was a really nice guy.  Funny without trying.  Perfect gentleman..  Though he greeted me with a kiss on my neck..  Which was clearly instinctual because I had on a dress that was off my shoulders with my hair swept to the other side baring my neck..  Which lets me know he was

Mia's on Lemmon! Best Mexican food I've had in a LONG time!

I should've known it was going to be good too when I walked in.  That place was packed!  My date and I only had a 10 minute wait though which was ok because we got to chat a little. The restaurant is very small and intimate.  The decor is very mexican.  Someone had a birthday and they started blinking the lights and singing happy birthday in spanish.  It was kinda fun.  The restrooms are right by the kitchen which I thought was a little odd.  But whatever.   Ok, so here is where I discuss my no longer being vegan.  I'm now plant based.  My date told me this place has good brisket tacos..  If you knew me pre vegan..  You know my weakness is brisket tacos.  And he said they had good brisket tacos and I believed that ass!  So I got them...  And they were ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AMAZING!!! OMG!!  I didn't take pictures of them as I was really into my date and wasn't thinking about grabbing my phone so here is a random pic of somebody else's brisket tacos from Mia&#

Vegans! The Yardhouse in Addison has gardein products!

Went to the Yardhouse again..  But I like this place because its pretty nice.  And while now I dont totally consider myself vegan anymore, lets say I'm plant based and I'll discuss that in another post..  But Yardhouse has a whole section of their menu dedicated to Gardein products.  I had fried chic'n strips and fries and it was really good!  Check it out! The dish on the date...  He did NOT look much like his pictures..  In fact, he kinda looked like a serial rapist...  I was ready to leave as soon as I got there but I was hungry as fuck so I stuck it out.  He kept blatantly starring at my boobs and then went on this whole racial rant about white people and white people were every where!!  And that kinda pissed me off too.  As SOON as we were done eating I made my exit..  The vegan plant based options are clutch though!  I highly recommend this place, for both the drinks and the food.

Public School 972!

This place is not a school at all. It is a school themed gastropub and is a quite nice spot to meet up of drinks or to have dinner.  There is a really nice patio outside, which my date and I didnt get to utilize as it was raining when we went.   The first drink I had came in a mule.  It was pretty to look at and tasty.  Then I had a gin and tonic.  I also had their buffalo fried cauliflower which was really good. My date had a few scotch's if I remember correctly...  He seemed fun, very handsome.  He wore a sports coat which got a thumbs up from me because I love a man that can dress well.  He had fleur de lis cuff links too which was hot as shit!  But he also had stitches in his hand..  I asked him about them and he said he got cut while trying to catch a knife he was dropping..  I wasnt buying that story...  How about he pissed off his ex or current girl and she tried to stab his ass and he attempted to catch the knife..  I wanted no parts of that because clear

The Old Crow! SUPER BOWL PARTY! FREE FOOD FREE DRINKS!

Sorry I took such an extended break from my blog!  I didnt realise so many people followed me until I took a break and had complaints!  I was in a relationship and was keeping all my date night experiences to myself.  It wont happen again.. Being that I'm newly single I decided to meet a friend at a bar on lower Greenville called the Old Crow.  I think this place is a great place for a date/meet up for a couple of drinks.  Its a pretty comfortable environment.  It has the humble feel of a hole in the wall while still being relatively nice, a mixed crowd of professionals, different races, the tattooed, and even some trust funders..  The music was a mix of pop, rock, and rap.  They also had a gello shot machine which I thought was pretty cool, though I didn't indulge.. That night..  I did have a couple long island ice tea's.  They were pretty good.  Not as strong as I'd prefer but they weren't necessarily weak either, so no complaints from me.  Their beer select
