Then there is the Forever Jamboree! An open mic for everyone! At the Grotto 517 University Dr. Fort Worth. I say 9ish is a great time for this also.

Taste of Arlington would be a great destination. Its from 5:30 to 9:30pm, at the Arlington Convention Center 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington. Proceeds go to benefit the YMCA and Theatre Arlington.
