Some things for you and your love to sneak away from family to do before Turkey Day!!

Now I don’t have a whole lot today, as it is the holidays and most people are with family…  But if you and your boo aren’t hanging out with family, or you just need to get out and have some alone time together, here are a few things to do..



The Golden State Warriors play the Dallas Mavericks tonight at 7:30pm at American Airlines Center in Dallas.  www.ticketmaster.com for tickets.

Hear the smooth soulful sounds of Gary Clark Jr.  at the House of Blues 2200 N. Lamar St.  Dallas.  Show starts at 8pm and is $25.



Flo Hernandez is going to be doing standup tonight at Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub 605 Houston St. Fort Worth.  Its free, and the show starts at 8:30pm.


There is a Jam Session/Open Mic tonight at The Prophet Bar 2548 Elm St.  Dallas.  This should be pretty fun to just hear locals jam it out! This will feature a band called RC and the Gritz and DJ Jay Clipp.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Justin Timberlake, Luke Wade, Jam Sessions and More to do tonight!

Justin Timberlake is in concert tonight at the American Airlines Center 2500 Victory St, Dallas.  The concert starts at 7 and the tickets are $49.50 to $175.00..  www.ticketmaster.com  for tickets. Rachel Avonne is going to be performing tonight at Buttons Fort Worth, 4701 W. Fwy.  She will be performing from 7:30pm to 10pm.  You can eat, relax and listen to some good music! Luke Wade is performing tonight at 7pm at The Live Oak in Fort Worth, 1311 Lipscomb St.  The cost is $10 to get in. Its Wine Down Wednesdays at Chiladas Fresh Mex Grill in Plano, 6145 Windhaven Pkwy, Suite 120 from 4pm to 7pm.  Glasses of wine are $3. You can have a great time tonight at The Prophet Bar for their open mic!  Enjoy the best in local talent, and DJ Jay Clipp is in the mix, and RC and the Gritz will be performing.
