Freebies! Jazz in the Atrium at the DMA, Free Stand Up Comedy, and More Tonight!!

Free!  Jazz in the Atrium at the Dallas Museum of Art!!  Tonight is 2Tone! Their sound is a blend of electric jazz harp and bass!  You can purchase food and cocktails if you choose.  1717 N. Harwood St., Dallas.  The concert is from 6pm to 8pm.



Tonights free, outdoor, concert at the Arboretum is Bruce in the USA presented by Jackson Walker LLP.  Its from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.  Bring lawn chairs, and or blankets.  Food trucks will be on site.  No alcoholic beverages will be sold on site however you may bring your own.

Comedian Paul Varghese will be performing tonight at Hyenas Comedy Night Club in Dallas.  5321 E. Mockingbird.  His show is at 7pm and its FREE!



At Scat Jazz Lounge, the Dave Monsch Quartet will be playing tonight.  111 W. Fourth St., Fort Worth.  The show starts about 8:30pm.



It’s a free art exhibit tonight at Art Space 111.  Its at 111 Hampton St., Fort Worth.  It goes until 5pm, so this is for those who get off a little early..  Or work late. Its also open Saturday as well.  It’s the Michelle Brandley Solo Exhibition.

There’s also live jazz tonight at Chocolate Secrets and Wine Garden.  3926 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas.  The music starts about 8pm.

Hash House A Go Go

THIS PLACE!!  My mouth is watering just thinking about this place.  😋😋  I went here this weekend for brunch.  I suggested going some place else, but I'm glad I gave in. For starters, before going I looked at their menu online and noticed they had Indiana themed menu items.  I'm from Indiana, so I figured it was somewhere I needed to visit.  Although one of their Indiana themed dishes was meatloaf and Eggs..  Let me inform my readers, WE DO NOT EAT MEATLOAF WITH EGGS IN INDIANA!  Do not order that dish and then blame it on us when you get the runs later! 😂😂  But I promise the food is delicious, I just wouldn't suggest eating that. I had the scramble with house smoked salmon, basil pesto and melted brie cheese.  I got it with breakfast potatoes and a home made biscuit.  Delicious is not a strong enough word..  Also it was enough food for 3 people.  I also had a spiked kiwi watermelon lemonade to drink instead...

This entry is going to take a turn back to the old days and what this blog was originally created for..  To highlight great places for a date.  I think I've had enough of dishing all of my business to you all..  Sorry :-) I was over in Irving, hungry, and looking for some REAL FOOD so I drove around and stumbled upon the Original Chop Shop.  Evidently it has been there since 2013..  But I'm rarely in Irving so.. Its all good clean food!  Delicious and well made, and there are vegan options!  I got the Green Curry Tofu bowl and it was good and filling.  I had a lot leftover to bring home with me too.  For carnivores, yes they do have menu offerings with chicken, steak, and shrimp.  I had their ginger strawberry lemonade to drink and it was the absolute best lemonade I've ever had in my life!  I should've known it was going to be good too because when I ordered it one of the employees got excited for me!  Lol. ...

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Suite 400 in Dallas. It seemed really intimate, unassuming, the pizza was great and they even have a tv in case you wan...
