Wednesday date night ideas

Yes... Get your lover out of the house for some fun this evening!  Here are some places to go..

Irving Arts Center has a gallery featuring selections from the Tegge Circus Archives Collection.  Its historical memorabilia illustrating the history of the American circus.  Sounds cultural yet NOT boring! Entry is free and the gallery is open until 9pm.  Its at 3333 N. Macarthur Blvd in Irving.

Dream Cafe looks to be having a sexy happy hour.  Half off appetizers, half off red or white sangrias and bellinis, and half off select wines.  The address is 5100 Beltline Rd. Dallas, TX. 75254 and the website www.thedreamcafe.com

You could also relax with your honey at Cook Hall.  Its basically a modern american gastropub and there's free valet.  (Be nice and tip tho) Their website is www.cookhalldallas.com the address is 2440 Victory Park Lane in downtown Dallas

Hash House A Go Go

THIS PLACE!!  My mouth is watering just thinking about this place.  😋😋  I went here this weekend for brunch.  I suggested going some place else, but I'm glad I gave in. For starters, before going I looked at their menu online and noticed they had Indiana themed menu items.  I'm from Indiana, so I figured it was somewhere I needed to visit.  Although one of their Indiana themed dishes was meatloaf and Eggs..  Let me inform my readers, WE DO NOT EAT MEATLOAF WITH EGGS IN INDIANA!  Do not order that dish and then blame it on us when you get the runs later! 😂😂  But I promise the food is delicious, I just wouldn't suggest eating that. I had the scramble with house smoked salmon, basil pesto and melted brie cheese.  I got it with breakfast potatoes and a home made biscuit.  Delicious is not a strong enough word..  Also it was enough food for 3 people.  I also had a spiked kiwi watermelon lemonade to drink instead...

Chop Shop Irving! Delicious clean food!

This entry is going to take a turn back to the old days and what this blog was originally created for..  To highlight great places for a date.  I think I've had enough of dishing all of my business to you all..  Sorry :-) I was over in Irving, hungry, and looking for some REAL FOOD so I drove around and stumbled upon the Original Chop Shop.  Evidently it has been there since 2013..  But I'm rarely in Irving so.. Its all good clean food!  Delicious and well made, and there are vegan options!  I got the Green Curry Tofu bowl and it was good and filling.  I had a lot leftover to bring home with me too.  For carnivores, yes they do have menu offerings with chicken, steak, and shrimp.  I had their ginger strawberry lemonade to drink and it was the absolute best lemonade I've ever had in my life!  I should've known it was going to be good too because when I ordered it one of the employees got excited for me!  Lol. ...

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Suite 400 in Dallas. It seemed really intimate, unassuming, the pizza was great and they even have a tv in case you wan...
