Live Reggae, Comedy, Western Festival, Beer Bourbon and Brisket, Saturday for DFW Couples

Looking for live reggae?  There is live reggae at Heroes from 7pm to 11pm at Heroes 7402 Greenville Ave.  They also have authentic Caribean cuisine and the kitchen is open until 11pm.  They are open until 2am and you can hang out on their patio.  www.heroesdallas.com

The grand reopening of the Green Room is tonight.  2715 Elm St.  There will be live music from a band called Honey.  The kitchen is open until 12am and they bar is open until 2am.  They also have a roof top patio that you can enjoy if it is not raining tonight.  www.dallasgreenroom.com

The Beer, Bourbon and Brisket Festival is today in Fort Worth at the Panther Island Pavillion 395 Purcey St. Ft Worth 76102.  It will host the best bbq brisket companies in town, craft microbrew tasting tents, bourbon tastings and live music.  www.beerbourbonbrisket.com

There is a Western Days Festival in Old Town Lewisville.  Admission is free and its kid friendly.  There will be kids country, a car show, a stick horse rodeo, cooking demos, and The World Tamale Eating Championship.  www.lewisvillewesternday.com  its at N. Dov Davidoff is doing standup at the Improv Addison at 7pm and 9:30pm 4980 Beltline Rd.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Justin Timberlake is in concert tonight at the American Airlines Center 2500 Victory St, Dallas.  The concert starts at 7 and the tickets are $49.50 to $175.00..  www.ticketmaster.com  for tickets. Rachel Avonne is going to be performing tonight at Buttons Fort Worth, 4701 W. Fwy.  She will be performing from 7:30pm to 10pm.  You can eat, relax and listen to some good music! Luke Wade is performing tonight at 7pm at The Live Oak in Fort Worth, 1311 Lipscomb St.  The cost is $10 to get in. Its Wine Down Wednesdays at Chiladas Fresh Mex Grill in Plano, 6145 Windhaven Pkwy, Suite 120 from 4pm to 7pm.  Glasses of wine are $3.
