Sunday Funday in Dallas!

Sunday I had a burst of energy and so I decided to get out and about and enjoy the city!

For starters....  It was hot!

I hung out with a male friend (someone I'm not dating). We went to eat at D'Vegan.  Its located at 9780 Walnut St. in Dallas.  Though I'm vegan I suspect this food is good enough for even non-vegans. The food was great!  I had this spicy lemongrass bowl photo'd below.

The only thing was, the restaurant is in the back of this asian marketplace and for vegans, the stench from the different meats is overwhelming.  But once you get in to the restaurant you cant smell it.

Keep in mind it was a hot day.. I'm reminding you this for a reason.

So my friend and I stopped first at a club called Townhouse in downtown Dallas.  There was no crowd so we decided to leave..  We returned later to find that we should've stayed though.  There is minimal seating on Sunday, save some reserved tables.  The balcony area was open, but I did mention it was hot out.  On to the next location.

We stopped at TNT Tacos and Tequila.  It was a little crowded, most of the venue is outdoors.  Again minimal seating, which seems ok since it is a club environment.  But again, it was hot!  We went, had a drink, and left again.  The crowd was I'd say early to mid twenties with a couple people in their early thirties sprinkled in.

So to wrap up, D'Vegan, good, but the marketplace smells, Townhouse, meh, TNT Tacos and Tequila, okay party crowd, not so much a place to take a date.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Suite 400 in Dallas. It seemed really intimate, unassuming, the pizza was great and they even have a tv in case you wan...
