Tonight is the Sigma Gamma Rholler Skate Night Back to School Party at Rollerworld NE.  Bring and drop off school supplies for children in need, and skate.  Admission is $6.  5817 Denton Hwy. Fort Worth.  Its at 7pm.


At Byblos Meditteranean in Fort Worth tonight its Happy Hour, Hookahs and Belly Dancing.  1406 N. Main St.  Happy hour is from 5pm to 7pm.  The food is also great.

Tonight at Scat Jazz Lounge its Open Standard Featuring Ricki Derek.  Get there about 7pm.  111 West 4th St. Fort Worth.


There’s a free art exhibit at Kettle Art 2650 B Main St., Dallas.  Its called Artpocolypse, and its from 7pm to 10pm.  It’s the work of 4 different artist, its very opinionated, colorful and could be interesting.  But its free, its art, go get some culture.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. There’s gonna be live holiday jazz music tonight at the House of Blues in Dallas.  Go to www.houseofblues.com/dallas for more details. The Classical Open Mic at Buzzbrews Kitchen is at 8pm today.  The restaurant is at 4334 Lemmon Ave in Dallas.  Local classical musicians come out and perform for you.  The food is great, and there is no cover charge.  Ice Skating at Panther Island Ice.  The rink is open tonight until 10pm.
