The Classical Open Mic continues tonight at Buzzbrews Kitchen at 8pm. 4334 Lemmon Ave.  Enjoy local classical musicians flexing their muscles in a casual, laid back environment.  Eat, drink, chill..



The Mavericks play the Oklahoma Thunder tonight at American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave., Dallas.  www.ticketmaster.com for tickets.  The game starts at 7pm.

Hookahs and Hip Hop Tonight at Momo’s in Dallas.  2800 Routh St.  Get there about 9pm.

Straight Ahead, A tribute to the music of the Blue Note Label continues tonight at Scat Jazz Lounge in Fort Worth.  111 W. Fourth St Suite 11.  The entertainment starts about 8.



It’s a paint and sip night tonight at Brewed, 801 W. Magnolia Ave., Fort Worth.  In about 2 hours an artist guides you through creating your own masterpiece.  Paints, Brushes, Canvas, Smock included.  The event starts at 7pm.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd. Justin Timberlake is in concert tonight at the American Airlines Center 2500 Victory St, Dallas.  The concert starts at 7 and the tickets are $49.50 to $175.00..  www.ticketmaster.com  for tickets. Rachel Avonne is going to be performing tonight at Buttons Fort Worth, 4701 W. Fwy.  She will be performing from 7:30pm to 10pm.  You can eat, relax and listen to some good music! Luke Wade is performing tonight at 7pm at The Live Oak in Fort Worth, 1311 Lipscomb St.  The cost is $10 to get in. Its Wine Down Wednesdays at Chiladas Fresh Mex Grill in Plano, 6145 Windhaven Pkwy, Suite 120 from 4pm to 7pm.  Glasses of wine are $3. You can have a great time tonight at The Prophet Bar for their open mic!  Enjoy the best in local talent, and DJ Jay Clipp is in the mix, and RC and the Gritz will be performing.
