Live Jazz, Stand Up Comedy, A Date Night Ice Skating Session and Acoustic Entertainment!

The Hilton Anatole is going to have a “Date Night Skate Night” tonight from 8pm to 10pm.  2201 N. Stemmons  Freeway.  Tickets are $9, parking is $5 and skate rental is $6.



The Mark McKenzie Jazz Quartet will be performing tonight at Two Corks and a Bottle, 2800 Routh St. Suite 140, Dallas.  They will play from 8pm to 11pm.  You can also enjoy other things this establishment has to offer.

Funny man Sean Kent is doing stand up tonight at Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub, 605 Houston St, Fort Worth.  Its $10 to get in and he goes on at 8:30pm.



“Guys on Ice” is a very funny, non holiday play about two guys ice fishing and talking about life, marriage, football and keeping beer away from their mooching friend.  You can enjoy it tonight at the Greater Lewisville Community Theater tonight at 8pm for about $30.  160 W. Main St, Lewisville.

And, there will be an acoustic jam session tonight at MCL Grand Theater in Lewisville, 100 Charles St.  Its free and should be a great way to unwind and be entertained.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key.
