Death Cab for a Cutie, Iron & Wine, and Hold Steady are in concert tonight at the Gexa Energy Pavilion.  The concert starts at 4:30pm.  Go to www.ticketmaster.com for tickets.


There is a boutique wine tasting tonight at Matador Meat & Wine.  8200 Preston Rd., Suite 100 in Plano.  Its at 7pm.  Be the first to taste wines new to the Dallas market.  It costs $20 to get in. 


You can see The Wiz tonight at Garland Civic Theatre.  108 N. Sixth St., Garland.  The play starts at 7pm and tickets are $27. 


The Chris Milyo Band and Marion Powers are playing tonight at Scat Jazz Lounge in Fort Worth.  111 West 4th St.  Get there about 8:30pm and be entertained.



Also, this place is awesome...  Byblos Meditteranean has a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm with great food, hookah, and there are belly dancers.  1406 N. Main St., Fort Worth.

Justin Timberlake is in concert tonight at the American Airlines Center 2500 Victory St, Dallas.  The concert starts at 7 and the tickets are $49.50 to $175.00..  www.ticketmaster.com  for tickets. Rachel Avonne is going to be performing tonight at Buttons Fort Worth, 4701 W. Fwy.  She will be performing from 7:30pm to 10pm.  You can eat, relax and listen to some good music! Luke Wade is performing tonight at 7pm at The Live Oak in Fort Worth, 1311 Lipscomb St.  The cost is $10 to get in. Its Wine Down Wednesdays at Chiladas Fresh Mex Grill in Plano, 6145 Windhaven Pkwy, Suite 120 from 4pm to 7pm.  Glasses of wine are $3. You can have a great time tonight at The Prophet Bar for their open mic!  Enjoy the best in local talent, and DJ Jay Clipp is in the mix, and RC and the Gritz will be performing. Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd.
