Dallas/Fort Worth.. Bruce Bruce, Sheryl Underwood, An Island Summer Beach Party in Fort Worth, and Wine Theif..

Bruce Bruce is performing at the Improv in Addison tonight.  4980 Beltline Rd. The only tickets available are for his 11:30pm show.  I suggest you hurry if you're going.  Or you could just go to his show tomorrow.  For tickets go to www.improv.com and click on Addison.  

Sheryl Underwood is performing at the Improv in Arlington.  309 Curtis Mathes Way.  Her shows are t 7pm and 9pm.  Go to www.improv.com and click on Arlington for tickets.

Its an Island Summer Beach Party tonight at 9 Acres Ranch in Fort Worth.  7512 Teakwood Ct.  They will be spinning old school, new school, reggae, hip hop, reggaeton, socca and more.  $15 to get in.  Attire is summer sexy to beach sexy.

Inversion is playing at Sambuca tonight in Dallas.  2120 McKinney Ave.  Inversion is a high energy seven piece variety dance band that plays a large variety of music.  I'd say get there about 8:30.

Of course you could go see the pre season Cowboys game against the Ravens.  Go to www.dallascowboys.com or www.ticketmaster.com for tickets.  The game starts at 6pm.

Wine Theif in the Omni, downtown Fort Worth is a great place to stop in for drinks and appetizers.  Its at 1300 Houston St.

Justin Timberlake is in concert tonight at the American Airlines Center 2500 Victory St, Dallas.  The concert starts at 7 and the tickets are $49.50 to $175.00..  www.ticketmaster.com  for tickets. Rachel Avonne is going to be performing tonight at Buttons Fort Worth, 4701 W. Fwy.  She will be performing from 7:30pm to 10pm.  You can eat, relax and listen to some good music! Luke Wade is performing tonight at 7pm at The Live Oak in Fort Worth, 1311 Lipscomb St.  The cost is $10 to get in. Its Wine Down Wednesdays at Chiladas Fresh Mex Grill in Plano, 6145 Windhaven Pkwy, Suite 120 from 4pm to 7pm.  Glasses of wine are $3. You can have a great time tonight at The Prophet Bar for their open mic!  Enjoy the best in local talent, and DJ Jay Clipp is in the mix, and RC and the Gritz will be performing. Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd.
