Spring Swing Burlesque is tonight at The Kessler Theater.  1230 Davis St., Dallas.  It starts at 9pm and tickets start at $25.

 B.T. is doing stand up again tonight at Hyena's Comedy Nightclub in Fort Worth.  605 Houston St.  Tickets are $10 to $15 and the show starts at 8pm.


Devin The Dude is in concert tonight a the Granada Theater.  3524 Greenville Ave., Dallas.  The concert starts at 8pm and tickets are $20.


Its live music at Soho Food and Jazz tonight.  5290 Beltline Rd., Dallas.  The band starts about 8:30pm.  Tonight is a jazz band by the name of No Mad.

 Its also live jazz tonight at Chocolate Secrets and Wine Garden.  3926 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas.  Get there about 8pm.

 Zora Neale Hurston's stage play Spunk continues tonight at the Addison Conference and Theater Center.  15650 Addison Rd., in Addison.  Tickets are $20 to $40 and the play starts at 8pm.


Johnny Reno is performing tonight at Scat Jazz Lounge in Fort Worth.  111 W. Fourth St.  Get there about 8pm.

 FC Dallas take on Toronto FC tonight at Toyota Stadium.  9200 World Cup, Frisco.  The game starts at 7:30pm.  Go to www.fcdallas.com for tickets.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. I went to a pizzaria on Sunday that I thought would be perfect for a first date so I thought I'd share.  It was called Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria.  Its a Brooklyn styled pizzaria and it seemed great for a first date.  Its at 4520 Frankford Rd.
