Nates Seafood and Steak in Addison..... Spoiler Alert! BAD REVIEW

Yeah......  This is going to be my first completely bad review of any place I've been to.  For starters... My party and I sat on the patio.  The fact that there was patio seating was probably the only good thing about this place.  It was open seating out there.  We sat for a good 5 minutes before even seeing a waiter.  After that 5 minutes the waiters came out to tend to other patrons, including a couple that came after us might I add, but never got to us.  After watching 3 waiters come and go I said something and my friend went inside to get some attention.  From then on, our waiter was prompt though...  But the fact that we had to say something....No Bueno!  


The drinks were watered down.  And my food was terrible.  I had the Shrimp and Crab Etouffee (not sure if thats how you spell it)..  Anyway...  It tasted like Karen was on kitchen duty.  It was disguisting.  Watery, and the shrimp tasted bad.  I had to douse it with salt and pepper and I don't put salt on anything I eat.  I tried the gumbo, and it was also disappointing.  From the consensus at my table, the only thing ingestible was the fried goodies.  Then everyone started smoking inside the establishment and on the patio.  I could've sworn that was illegal here in Dallas county but maybe I'm wrong. I'm not a completely prissy diva but who wants to eat when they're surrounded by smoke.  DO NOT go to this place.  Its just the worst!

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. Dallas/Fort Worth: Holiday Jazz, Updated Taco Tuesday Spots, Classical Open Mic and Ice Skating.

There’s gonna be live holiday jazz music tonight at the House of Blues in Dallas.  Go to www.houseofblues.com/dallas for more details.
