A group of talented DFW musicians show up to do an open mic every Tuesday at Buzz Brews. Its every Tuesday from 8pm to 12am. 4334 Lemmon Ave, Dallas www.buzzbrews.com Rock of Ages, Rock and Roll karaoke with a live band every tuesday at the Blue Martini Lounge 7301 Lone Star Dr. Plano, TX 75204. Its from 9pm to 1am. If you're not still recouperating from the holiday, or if you're just one of those persons who keeps going these events should be very cool.

Angelo & Vito's Pizzaria/ Nice quaint spot for a first date

This friday I was amongst a group of people and a discussion came up about women who are turned off by going to a place like Applebee's for a first date because its cheap.  My offering to the discussion was that, yes Applebee's for a first date can definitely be a turn off, but that there are other places that you can go for a first date that don't necessarily have to be Capital Grill or Nobu, that will still wow a woman and make for a great first impression.  Like bistro's, or cute little family owned restaurants.  Its not always about money when wowing a woman.  Creativity is key. Sommore is going to be at the Improv in Addison.  4980 Beltline Rd.  Tickets are $25 to $35.  Shows are at 8pm and 10:30pm and the tickets are selling fast so I suggest you jump on it.  www.improv.com Food Truck Frenzy!!  Tonight at Fair Park, 1300 Robert B.
